.TWENTY-TWO WHAT WHAT!

DARREN WEALSEY'S THE FITTEST BLOKE ON THE PLANET, YA HEARD?!

Later Edited

I did not write that.

.twenty-one.

It seems as if it's far too late in the year to drop any classes. As terrible as that seems, I suppose the administration has a point. I'll simply have to eliminate whichever class I'd rather not take at the beginning of the following school year. That'd probably be Ancient Runes. It seems silly to drop it when there are mere months left to this school year, as my cousin pointed out in her latest entry. Soon, the year will be over.

In the meantime, I need to find myself a decent tutor. If the Runes Intern was good for anything I'd rather not ask for your help, Rose. Last time didn't turn out so well, if you'll kindly remember. You're far too busy with your own things to worry about my less than adequate marks.

.twenty.

I'm considering dropping Arithmancy, Care of Magical Creatures or Ancient Runes. I simply don't think I'm up for the workload. Besides, father already warned me that in government, you needn't have knowledge of such things as runes or anything of the sort. Perhaps learning about magical creatures is something more useful, or at least the most useful in regards to my career path, out of the three. And as much as I enjoy Arithmancy, the amount of problems given for extra practice is ridiculous, as if we didn't have other classes to attend to.

So, I suppose it's down to Runes or Arithmancy. Admittedly, we don't get very much work out of Runes, though I gather I should be thinking more in terms of which class can best aid me when I apply for a position in government. I'd ask the counselors if I thought I could get anything useful out of them. I'd have asked mum, because she always knew what to tell me, but

Getting late, better finish up.

I suppose I should ask for an extension on this History of Magic essay. It seems as though I cannot find a copy of any books related to Elfrida Clagg, likely due to the fact that I was not present for several days. All the books must have been checked out before I returned to school. Madam Pince has agreed to contact me should any of the books be returned or reappear, as she suspects not all of them were checked out properly.

I'll have to sit here and wait.

A late congratulations is in order for the Gryffindor Quidditch team. I've heard you've done well. Not that anyone cares but I'll likely not be returning to school this week. I'm sure my father could use the company in this time. And I could use his, so celebrate my not being around now

I'm not sure why I'm writing this but My days have been spent quietly tucked away in my room, reading or arranging something things here and there. Just yesterday, I sat with my father, and we discussed all sorts of things. It was almost as if we hadn't spoken in years. We then went through some of mum's old books. It's almost surreal.

[Private: Maddie and Patricia]

Do you know if mum had a will?

Does smiling politely at a thousand Ministry officials right after I lost my mother count as my good deed for the day?

The bureaucracy of it all is utterly disturbing. I knew there was this much bureaucracy. I just had never come face to face with it. It's a completely different beast in nature. I'm not doubting my career path or any of that. But I am changing my tactics a bit. The bureaucracy takes a different sort of approach that mere intelligence. They strive for power, thus cunning must be used.

And honestly, that's about all I can deduce at the moment. I'm fairly certain I've had this headache for days, and no potion has yet to get rid of it.

[Private: Maddie]

Is Patricia with you?

[Private: Hogwarts and Family]

Good luck on your match, Gryffindor.

[Family]

I hate this.

This is only the beginning.

I honestly don't see what all the fuss is about. It was bound to happen anyway.

I cannot honestly believe the Ministry had intentions of taking the bank away from the Goblins. Put it up to a vote all you want, it's simply not going to happen. History has a sick way of repeating itself, and this is very similar to the events leading up to the First Goblin Revolution. Is that what the Ministry wants? Another revolution on their hands? It's appalling really. Merlin, if only I had been a few years older. It's clearly the work of this corrupt government. All they want is Galleons, Galleons and more Galleons. Hence, they are not paying attention to what is all happening right in front of their bloody faces. Goblins have been known to be extremely possessive over their acquisitions, and crossing their path is certainly not the best way to bring money into the Wizarding economy.

PRIORITIES, folks. Priorities.

[Hexed Private to Hogwarts]

I would like to express my discontent about recent occurrences. First of all, this recent onslaught of anonymous comments is most disconcerting. However, are we sure this is coming from outside school? Are we sure this isn't just some joke being played on us by some pathetic student with no life?

Secondly, for those of you who insist on responding to these obnoxious comments being left not naming anyone who should know better, Rose, please be advised that it is completely ridiculous to continue a conversation with such neanderthals, as Theodore kindly pointed out.

Thirdly, whoever continues to charm my seat in Herbology into making horrendous flagellant sounds as I sit down upon it should like to know that I'm on to you. And you will be reported.

That is all.

Is it customary to return to a classroom after having visited the loo to find your bag has been turned inside out with all your belongings careless strewn across the floor? I don't find it in the least bit humourous, and if there's anyone who does, I suggest visiting a therapist. It's absolutely inconsiderate. Besides, what is so funny about a bag that's been turned inside out? It looks just like a normal bag except without handles and the like. Anyway, it was easy to levitate all my belongings back into the bag and turn it right side up again. So, if your plan was to cause me to waste time or to be severely annoyed, you only got half of that didn't accomplish your goal at all.

Now. Theodore, I hope you feel better. If anyone needs me, I'll be in my dorm though I can't imagine who would need me really.

It's always better when // You know and I know, and I know

It's always better when // You find out we've been lying, cheating )

Way to start the year on a positive note. The value of the Galleon is going up, which means that for the families of Muggleborns, the exchange rate will seriously impact their purchasing power in the Wizarding World.

The behaviour around here is absolutely appalling. Defacing the walls of our school with lies and vicious rumours? I believed this to be beyond that of respectable Hogwarts students. What would other schools think were they to come here and see this disgrace in our own hallways? We ought to be ashamed, wasting our time with such indignities.

I can say with utmost firmness that I am most certainly not a homosexual. And while I can't openly speak about Algie Longbottom or my cousin, James, I am also quite sure they are not homosexuals either. As if any of it mattered really.... It shouldn't matter. Things of that nature need not be discussed in a school environment, where students should be learning and not attempting to one up each other with a pathetic string of annoying gossip.

You should all be focusing on your schoolwork. Perhaps then, you'll be more useful to society in the future.

.six.

Responsibility.

I understand it's a word that perhaps may be a bit too big for certain people to understand, pronounce, read, spell, etc. However, it's one of those words that shouldn't ever be overlooked. It is especially pertinent in the decision-making process. If you make a decision and act on that decision, you must take responsibility for your actions. And if you don't, then you'll be forced to take responsibility for your actions by the powers that be. So, wouldn't it be a lot easier to just adhere to the rules? They're there for a reason, to make our lives easier to live.

It seems that certain people think they can avoid taking responsibility for their actions as of late. Not to say that this is at all relative to karma or anything of the sort, but those people's time will come. They will not stand quietly while the world pays for their mistakes and actions.

The hammer of judgment will be brought down.

.five.

What a rousing display of immaturity. I fear for the future.

.four.

All right, this isn't funny. I want to know where my copy of The Etymology of Magical Language is, and I want to know now. And don't think I won't find out who keeps taking my things. It's only a matter of time really. And when I do, you'll have a lot of explaining to do to the administration! This is your final warning.

GIVE ME BACK MY BOOK, YOU BUZZARDS!
